While I was mindlessly watching Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, or another similar show, I saw that the host paired a navy button down shirt with a magenta pencil skirt and I thought to myself, “Wow, she looks amazing and that skirt is so cute!”
At the office, I notice that most people don’t often wear color bottoms, leaving the fun colors to tops, shoes, and accessories. It’s probably easier to match things with a black skirt, but it’s not as interesting as a purple skirt!
So, I’ve coordinated three outfits around an amazing colored pencil skirt!
Outfit 1
For a work-appropriate outfit, I paired a more conservative top with the colored pencil skirt. With a cropped trench for a classic, yet petite-appropriate look, there are some bright accessories to keep things interesting. Overall, this is a classic look with a cheery spin.
Outfit 2
To create a more casual style, I paired a nice t-shirt and sandals to go with the skirt. Since the skirt is so bold, I kept the colors to a minimum and added different textures such as a geometric designed cuff, a leather bag, and a straw hat.
Outfit 3
Every once in a while, it’s nice to get out and dress up. A night-time outfit can be more wild and adventurous with colors and patterns. The zebra printed top adds some life to the skirt and the bright red accessories provide a dash of color without overwhelming the outfit. Pair it with some gladiator heels and you’re ready for hitting the bar, the club, or a nice dinner!

Ooh nice outfits! I esp like the last one for going out. It’s so true that not enough people utilize colored bottoms!
