A Rose in the Bush

November 24, 2010

On the way to Urthh Cafe, I was looking for street parking when I came across this cute cafe, The Rose Cafe.

In a quieter section of Main Street, it seemed like everyone was coming here to eat. While I was waiting for a seat, I wandered about the building to pass the time. It seems a bit unusual that a single location would house a gift shop, a to go counter, and a sit down cafe, but it works so seamlessly here.

The brunch was delicious, especially the french toast made from croissants…talk about decadent!

French toast made of croissants! Never heard of that but it sounds and looks amazing. I want to put that place down on my list of restaurants to try :)

@Elle: I love food too much to not share it with you all. Sometimes I get strange looks when pull out my camera to take more photos of my plate than my friends. But they’re used to it by now.

@Kileen: The best restaurants are those hidden gems sustained by local word of mouth. In LA, there are so many places over-hyped that it’s nice to come to a low-key place that blows you away!

@ReallyPetite: I’m always in the mood for French toast! So delish! =)

@Olyvia: The croissant part really peaked my interest when I read it on the menu, so I had to see what the French toast would taste like…it’s super rich, but so worth it!

@SewPetiteGal: LOL, it must be a testament to the food is because it tastes as pretty as it looks.

@PetiteXXS: I guess I should time my food posts better, they always make people hungry, but then, it whets your appetite when you get your meal! =)

@Callandra: I love smaller eateries since they have to rely on great food to keep them going…plus, it helps that it looks so adorably cute! =)
