A Digital Flashback

December 9, 2010

I was playing around with Photoshop the other day with some outfit photos that didn’t make the cut.

With the help of the Photoshop tutorial by Sydney of The Daybook, I  think the effects turned out decent, but I got to practice more. I’m such a Photoshop dunce that it takes me forever to find where all the effects are located.

Outfit Details: Superdry hoodie dress – XS, Casualmere scarf, Michael Antonio wedges

Outfit Details: TJ Maxx shirt dress – S, PacSun leggings – S, WESC chunky scarf, Corso Como riding boots

I love what you did with your photos and I agree that retouching has become an art…so much goes into each photograph than what meets the eye. I love that shirtdress on you, jealous that you can still wear that outside and not freeze your butt off. It’s like in the teens today in CT and I am all bundled up.

Cute outfit! I really need to learn how to retouch my photos! I just never have the time or patience:)

I’ve been retouching with Picasa… I’m not so great at it yet, have to tinker around a bit! I like your photos though, especially the first one!
p.s. You’ve been tagged for 7 things! Check out my latest post.

If I had all the time in the world, I’d be happy playing with Photoshop. Your pics turned out well and I love the fisheye effect (is that what it’s called?)

@Elle: I’m thankful that the weather here isn’t that cold, it’s just the early mornings and late evenings where I need to put on a light coat.

@Reallypetite: I don’t have much time either to fix up photos, but every now and then, I like to play around. =)

@Jen: Thanks! I’m hoping that I get better at Photoshop. And I’ll be writing a 7 things post later on! =)

@Cee: Thanks! If I had more time, I’m sure I could do so much more…and learn faster too. But for now, it’s about all I know in Photoshop.

these photos are gorgeous!! i’m still learning Photoshop and recently started using Lightroom to edit my pictures. It’s definitely an art and I’m still at the very basics. Definitely share what you learn as I’m not far beyond just resizing and color-contrasting at this point. :\

I love tinkering around with Photoshop and am always bugging my bf to teach me as he uses it everyday as an artist, but it’s such a huge program I find it quite daunting! Please do share what you learn, b/c I’d love to learn more!

@MichLA: The hoodie dress is amazingly comfy and warm! =)

@Kileen: Thanks! I’ll try to share as much as I know, but it’s not much either.

@MizzJ: Wow, what a resource…I would be doing the same thing! I hope I have more time to practice with Photoshop.

@MJ: Thanks…I never knew that! I’ll be looking for those presets! =)
