On the happiest day of the year, my family and I went to the happiest place on Earth.
The entire landscape of Disneyland was covered with theme-laden wreaths, colorful ornaments, and spectacular holiday versions of your favorite rides.

Yes, it was jam-packed and there were lines everywhere (even to wash your hands in the restroom!) But we all had the opportunity to be a kid again.
Each member of my family sees Disneyland through a different set of lenses. I focus on the the architecture, the detailed costumes, and the holiday displays. My mom, with her taste buds…the popcorn, the churros, the turkey legs! As for my dad, it’s goofing off and pretending to be scared at the Haunted Mansion. And my thrill-seeking sister loves the rides, especially Space Mountain.

It’s impossible to go on every single ride, so we picked out the ones we loved and got Fastpass tickets for Indiana Jones Adventure and Space Mountain, since those are the two most popular attractions.
My favorite ride of the day was ‘It’s a Small World’ because it was fully decked out in holiday cheer, remixing the classic song with Jingle Bells in multiple languages.
I’ll leave you with this photo from the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. I’m not a gamer, so I’m horrible with these types of rides, but I try really, really hard.
How did you spend your Christmas?

Looks like you had a super fun christmas! Love the buzz picture
Thanks! I think Disneyland is one of the few places that go all out for the holidays! =)
What a wonderful way to spend Christmas! My family spent Christmas the exact same way one year when I was younger and I remembered everything was magical. I second your sister on Space Mountain. I couldn’t get enough of it! Now that my brother and I are older though, we do the boring thing and just eat and spend time at my parents’ for Christmas.
What a fun way to spend Christmas!! I love “Small World” had jingle bells music!!
As for my Christmas…this was our first traditional Christmas in a long time, as we actually stayed in Vegas and spent Christmas day with the in-laws (who are a joy to be around…and that is not sarcasm! lol!).
How fun! And what a cute Buzz picture
I unfortunately spent X-mas in bed with food poisoning, but that’s definitely not the norm!
Oh no! Food poisoning on xmas! =(
Awe how cute! I have never been to Disneyland…how sad is that? LOL
AHHHHHH DISNEYLAND THE GREATEST MOST MAGICAL, HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH…THE PLACE WHERE DREAMS ARE MADE/COME TRUE.
I went once earlier this year…when I was younger I used to get the SoCal annual pass(which was then cheaper than a day pass now..how sad.)
Haha it’s definitely impossible, but my best friend and I always try our very best to go on all the rides =] I’m still scared of the Haunted Mansion, though
Jingle Bells in all the different languages! That sounds awesome. Glad to see you had a fun and safe holiday!
@Cee: Space Mountain is amazingly smooth and fun! I’d love to have the traditional Christmas, we’re oddballs.
@Michelle: That’s awesome, I want a traditional holiday gathering! =)
@Really Petite: You should go to Disneyland at least once in your life! It’s totally worth it!
@Shannon: LOL. I lived in LA for several years and never got the Annual Pass, but I think it wasn’t worth it to me since I only went once a year…if that.
@Simple Subtle Style: It was a treat to go to “It’s a Small World” and hear the different languages. It never gets old. =)
I didin’t know they had a christmas theme for the small world ride! I miss disneyland!
This post makes me wish I was 10 years old again and back in Disney World with my cousins and Aunt! So much fun! – Katy
@Stephanie: You should check out disneyland during the holidays, it’s so fun!
@Katy: Disneyland is a place where you can be a kid again and I love that feeling! =)

your family is ADORABLE! Oh my goodness what a fun Christmas! We skyped with my family then drove up to hang with my in-laws for the rest of the day. Lots of cute little nieces and nephews with new toys to show.
