Shopping for the perfect handbag is no easy feat, especially on a budget.
I love bags and I’m always on the hunt for the next new addition, but obviously, price is the limiting factor. So I check several sites for deals and one of them is Bags Bonanza, the sister site to Bonanza. It is similar to eBay but without the bidding.
Bags Bonanza is an online marketplace to buy and sell handbags and other related accessories. It is easy to navigate, filter selections, and browse by brand, material, style, and price. As with any other buy/sell site, you have to do your research to find the best deals and authentic products.
Tips for Navigating Bags Bonanza
- Read item descriptions carefully and always request for more photos, authenticity tags/cards, measurements, and quality of the bag if it’s not listed
- Read the seller’s profile, policies, and reviews to determine if they are legitimate
- Compare prices with listings of the same item from other sites
- Cross reference the listing with The Purse Forum for authenticity
- Trust your gut, if it looks too good to be true, it might be
High-End Designers
If you’re searching for top of the line luxury bags like Hermes, Chanel, Balenciaga, and Chloe, you’ll quickly discover that most are pre-owned. Since these brands are highly coveted, the selection is limited and you’re not going to score major discounts. Still, every once in a while you could luck out, like with this YSL bag.
Mid-Range Designers
From Rebecca Minkoff to Michael Kors, you’ll find many handbags that are NWT (new with tags). The selection pool is significantly larger than the high-end designer bags and with it comes a wider price range. Take your time to refine your selections and you’ll uncover some gems like this Kate Spade Evangeline. If you don’t get it, I will.
Vintage Handbags
Not only are there plenty of designer bags listed, but there are some quality vintage handbags too. Pay attention to construction, stitching, hardware, and other details to make sure you purchase one in good condition. Brands aren’t as important as the design and the condition of the bag which makes these bags the most affordable on the site. For example, this black purse is one fine specimen!
So, now you know what Bags Bonanza is all about, I encourage you to check it out, use it, and send me your honest feedback. Personally, I like it better than eBay because I hate bidding and waiting for an auction to end…you can skip the waiting and purchase the bag. If you want to negotiate and haggle, contact the seller and they might work with you. Plus, Bags Bonanza runs a blog about all things fashion and handbag-related from how to spot fakes to the perfect outfits to pair with structured bags.

I’ve been stalking this site weekly
Thanks for the info, Jess. It’s very helpful.
Wow, I love this. I really need more bags and I browsed the site and found some affordable ones in great condition.
Nice! Anytime there’s more options for us bag lovers, the better
I hadn’t heard of this site before, so thank you for your honest review. I’ll definitely be browsing this site.

i just browsed this site and some of the prices are outrageous. even more expensive than if you were to buy in store! some sellers are really out to make $$ huh?
thank you for sharing though. one more place to tempt us lol…
It’s the same for any site…there are some deals, some retail price items, and some ridiculously high prices. As long as people are smart and do their research, they’ll have a lower risk of getting scammed. =P
I definitely started checking out Kate Spade’s handbags in the past month. That Evangeline one is sooo classic but with a minor twist. I want!!!!
I haven’t heard about this site, since I’m not really a purse person, but I have been trying to find a vintage-like ivory bag (because I got infatuated with Rachel Berry’s ivory bag in the recent NY episode)…so yay! another site to dig into
At first I thought it was that Bonanza site…LOL It’s not the same company is it? Prob not…
Will check it out:)
It is part of the Bonanza umbrella and it just focuses on handbags. =)
