Along the freeways, I pass by vista points everyday and I’ve always wondered what the view must look like. So one day, I stopped at one and the view was breathtaking! This detour reminded to appreciate the little things since you never know what the day may bring.

Often, I find myself rushing to and fro, getting lost in the hustle and bustle. Little things get lost by the wayside along with misplaced dreams and unfulfilled promises. We prioritize work over personal life, family over individual desires, and others before yourself. For me, it’s hard to be selfish when I’m surrounded by neediness.
Like that man sitting on the street with a half-expectant look or the waitress with the tired smile…sometimes, we do little things to brighten other people’s day. In turn, that brightens up our own too knowing that we put a happy stamp on someone else’s life.

With my newfound sight, I’ve been exploring the nooks and crannies of my neighborhood. It’s funny how a simple detour can take you someplace completely unexpected. Sometimes, I end up at a dead end, but other times I find some unique places like coastal access roads that lead right to the ocean.
There’s something so relaxing about being near the ocean…the crash of the waves, the cool salty breeze, or even the occasion call of the seagulls…it helps release all the built-up tension of the day.

If I ever win the lotto, I would totally buy a beachfront house so I can always be near the water. And if I could be on the beach all the time, it would be a great life.

A beach house would be great! I wish I could hear the ocean right now!
You are adventurous to just randomly stop and walk around!
Loved those shots of the ocean. Great business cas outfit, Jess.
Such beautiful photos. Your outfit looks really nice also; loving the neutral/gray tone of your blazer.
