Mom Jeans. Old Lady Pants.
You know, those pants where the waist is practically up to your neck.
I used to think that they were horribly unflattering to a petite frame. While thrifting, I came across this snazzy pair of trousers and I’m willing to re-think my position on high-waisted pants.

I’m definitely in new territory with these pants, so I’m not sure how to style them to keep it looking youthful and contemporary. If you have any styling tips, please share!

Wow, these are surprisingly flattering. They have such a nice shape and really elongate your legs. Nice find! I don’t know if I would have been brave enough to try!
i really like these pants on you and way to go for trying something new! i think as long as you accessorize properly and pair these pants with items that flatter your shape, you’ll keep it looking youthful and contemporary!
I think they look great on you! Highwaisted pants are my favorite. I have a pair like yours in black that I’ve worn so many times.

i used to think that too, but i’m leaning towards higher waisted pants myself lately. i’m slowly transitioning out of the low-rise stuff…is it the times or my age, LOL!?!

Great find! Despite being “mom pants” (lol), they are very flattering on you. I’ve been scoping out thrift stores for high-waisted pants/shorts, but no luck so far. I first got inspired by seeing a photo of Hailee Steinfeld wearing high-waisted shorts (http://hailee-steinfeld.net/gallery/albums/Shoots/028/normal_003.jpg) and I’ve been wanting a pair since.

I like high-waisted pants. Look very cool on you. Although, I would take out the cuff. I generally think cuff cut off some of the vertical that we petite so desperately want. I also would like to see you pair this pant with some cool t-shirt. I think cardigan and pump with these pants would look a little too much “ensemble”. How about some cool booties? I guess I would like to see contrast rather than ensemble.

Those pants look great on you! I’ve been looking for a pair too, since I have long body/short legs so the high-waisted pants/skirts really helps! Also crease in the pants adds to the elongation of the legs!
