Flash mobs have been gaining traction lately and the UCLA engagement flashmob was big news on Facebook from all my UCLA friends.
When I went to LA for the rave, I got in touch with Kelsi and assisted in the 50 Dresses FashMob at the LA County Fair.

With retro-inspired dresses, fresh and light makeup from POPBeauty, and candy-colored shoes by Seychelles, it’s the perfect combination for spending the day at the fair.
I got a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into a FashMob.

Hair and makeup was relatively low-key so that the dresses and the shoes shine through. It was calm backstage as the models lounged around while getting their hair and makeup done. The camera crew were prepping the equipment for show and strategized the best way of covering the event.
The energy and excitement started to build as it got closer to showtime.

When the music cued and the models walked onto the fairgrounds, we could hear the crowd start to gather round to watch. Several people started taking out their phones and snapped a couple of pictures while Tess Vigil, the designer of 50 Dresses, handed out flyers and business cards.
It was so fun to be a part of FashMobs for the day and Glamour.com picked up the story! Exciting!
