Oh Superdry, I wish your US stores were bigger to carry more inventory!
Superdry is known for outerwear and if you’re looking for slim knits, this is the place. However, they are not exactly petite-friendly because sleeve lengths and pant inseams are quite long.

While I was browsing the store, I held up a pair of denim jeans and the waistband looked unusually small. The SA told me that most of their denim run small and their smallest size is 25. I had to try on a few pairs to satisfy my curiosity.
Regular-sized denim typically has a 32″ inseam and if there’s center fade, the knee break isn’t going to be flattering for petites. So I picked styles with uniform washes to see how they would fare on a 5’1″ petite who usually wears size 24/25 jeans.
When I first slipped on these jeans in size 25 and zipped them up, they felt like already broken in. The material was smooth, soft, and supple with minimal stretch. The fit was flattering and the size was spot on. There was no waist gap and it softly conformed to my hips with some room in the calves for a slim, straight leg look. This style is one of the more generously cut styles of Superdry Jeans.
I picked up a size 25 in this style and it was very snug. The waistband was a little tight and my legs felt a bit like a stuffed sausage. So I switched into a size 26 and I could breathe better. Since the wash is raw denim, it has the potential to shrink even smaller.

During my first round in the fitting room, I picked up the skinny style in size 25. I was sorely mistaken since I could barely pull this pair past my knees. For this particular style, I’m a size 27! If you’re smaller than 00 sizes, you super slim people…you should definitely try these on!
I’ve only tried a few of the Superdry denim styles and so far, I’m impressed. The construction is solid, the material is hardy (not paperthin), and the fit definitely runs small. So if you have a Superdry in your area and you’ve been wishing for smaller sizes…what are you waiting for?
