Tuesday Tunes: The Remixes

November 15, 2011

It’s remix time!

It’s amazing how YouTube has become a platform for new artists to get discovered. From covers to original songs, these artists can showcase their vocal talents for the world to see. As much as I enjoy original music, I love listening to mash-ups, medleys, and remixes. So today, I’m sharing a few of my favorites.

Boyce Avenue

Boyce Avenue was one of the first YouTube artists that I came across and it’s amazing how far they’ve grown. This video is one of my favorite remixes and though it’s old, it’s still great. It still blows me away that now they’re on tour with their own original songs while still covering current hits.

Peter Hollens

If you’re used to the older videos by Sam Tsui and Kurt Hugo Schneider, then add Peter Hollens to your playlist. I think he has a bit of Broadway in him…this mashup of Adele’s “Turning Tables” and “Someone Like You” will blow you away.

Justin Robinett

Ever since I’ve been using Spotify, I’ve been finding a lot of cool artists. While looking up “Rocketeer” by Far East Movement, I came across Justin Robinett. I love this upbeat and cheery remix that captures the essence of both FM and Jason Mraz.

In case you missed it, this is for all you Glee Warbler fans:
