I’m more contemporary with a bit of flair… I like to keep things simple but add a small amount of pattern or sparkle to my outfits
Petites only need petite pants/bottoms. Soo not true! I asked for the petite version for a blouse in Banana Republic once, and the lady said, “Why don’t you try going down a size?” Petite tops are just as important as pants! Shoulder width, arm holes, length of sleeves, length of the garment… it’s all proportion for petites!
The dressing room is your best friend. I prefer trying clothes on in the dressing room before buying it. If I buy anything online, I make sure it’s one of those where I can return or exchange in the store to make it easier. Also, some clothes do run small like H&M and Forever 21, so don’t be afraid to try new stores!
Loft, H&M, Forever 21, Gap… those four are the ones I go crazy for
Ann Taylor/Loft in my opinion have the best petite section that range from 00 to 14. H&M is also great for small/short proportioned items for any occasion (work, casual, dressy), but just know that their sizing is SMALL! I’m usually a size 6, but my clothing items from that store range from 8 to 12 (depending on style/way I like it to fit on me)

Interesting read and great feature! I can relate – I’m a larger-sized petite even pre-pregnancy. I just wear small tops because my chest is small
