I’ll skip Christmas and go straight to New Year’s Eve in this dress.
Oh yes, I’m totally lovin’ the sequins trend this year. If it’s shiny, sparkly, or glittery…I want! Go bold and beautiful because it’s the holidays, so let loose!
Life’s too short to be a wallflower forever.

Outfit Details: South Sequin Cut-out Dress - UK8 (c/o Very.com), Gap obi belt, H&M earrings, Fearne sandals (c/o Very.com)
Last month, I participated in the Very.com blogger competition and though I didn’t win, I got this dress and a pair of heels.
The embellished dress is well constructed and carries some heft from all the beads and sequins. In UK8, this dress is a bit too big and long. With my trusty belt tuck trick, the excess fabric is hidden and it magically shortens from a midi to a mini.

As for the shoes, they’re the tallest heels I own at 4.5 inches with a 1 inch platform. They’re super comfy and they’re perfect dancing shoes. The only downside is that the quality is similar to Forever 21, Bakers, and Aldo shoes.
Did I forget to mention that Very.com also carries petites?

LOVE this. Looks so adorable with the belt. I’m obsessed with sequins AND cut-outs…so I’m pretty much drooling right now. You look awesome!

Wow, this dress is so much fun! You look gorgeous! Exactly how does your belt trick work again? and I absolutely love love love your new bangs and this hairstyle on you!
Thanks Olyvia! Basically, I fold over the excess fabric and wrap my obi belt around it. I tuck any excess fabric into the belt to make sure nothing sticks out….and it holds up all night! =)
love the dress so much I want one now! I recently wore my sequin dress to my bachelorette party!!
