A peacoat is a classic wardrobe staple and the anchor of many a winter outfit.
Being in California, I am afforded some luxuries like bypassing bulky overcoats in favor of lightweight options. When I lived in LA, I would often frequent the army surplus store to peruse through racks of government-issued peacoats. Back then, these coats were my standard by which all others would be judged for less than $200. As much as I wanted a standard issue peacoat, it was too big and bulky.
So I went in search of a peacoat to call my own.
After much trial and error, this Gryphon shrunken peacoat is it! The shrunken fit is perfect for petites with narrow shoulders, slimmer lapels, and a higher armhole stance. What makes this coat pretty unique is that the material is like a sweatshirt fleece so it’s super warm and cozy.
I love classic things with a twist.
