For all my new readers, I’ll let you in on a secret.
I take my own photos. Really! It’s just me and my tripod…self-timer and/or remote. I don’t have any professional experience and most of the time, it’s trial and error to get the shot I want.
But I’m sure some of you already know this.

And the thing is…most of my photos are not pretty, which is why only a few that end up in my blog posts. For every one good photo, there are at least 10 bad ones. It’s a pretty low ratio but I’m getting better at figuring out what works and what doesn’t. It’s a continual and gradual process of improvement.
I am not perfect and I don’t pretend to be…I make mistakes.
Here are some of this month’s photo fails.

This is so cute! I take my own photos, too, so I know all about these bloopers!
I love that last one where you’re flipping your hair! Perfect moment captured!

I love your umbrella blooper. =)
Since I take my photos in a garden, most of my photo bloopers involve last minute flinching, ducking, swatting and running due to curious critters.
I love you for posting these – you have such a great personality!
I take my own photos too so I definitely understand. ” For every one good photo, there are at least 10 bad ones” is a pretty accurate estimate =)
hahah love this! I have been self taking photos as well and it gets so difficult. I agree every good photo there are at least 10 or More bad ones hahah
Practice makes perfect!
Your photos turn out really good in the end though
I half think these bloopers are intentional
You still look way too cute, Jess!

Hahahah very cute post my favorite one is the one where your hair is flying (you are wearing the pink & leopard.)
Oh, trust me… my ratio is about the same. I’ve been taking some incredibly bad photos lately. I use a tripod, too, but it’s so much easier to have a photographer.
Wow, you do a really good job on your own! I am still trying to learn as I go. I know my photos aren’t perfect but I do see some progress.
