You’ve seen the first Herve Leger dress that I tried, but did you see the second?
This dress in XXS is what made me a Herve Leger convert.
It hugs in all the right places and yet, I feel really comfortable in it. When I stepped out of the fitting room in this dress, I just felt…powerful?! It fit so snug that I thought I might have gotten a size too small that I asked the SA to bring me the XS for comparison.

In XS, this colorblocked dress fit my lower half well. But it was loose in the bust and midsection which created some awkward gaping that wasn’t very flattering. Also, the length is about an inch longer than the XXS size. I definitely didn’t feel as confident in this larger size, so the SA was right, XXS is my size in Herve Leger.
It is really rare that I encounter a dress that fits my body so well that I really want it! TMI, but I was wearing granny panties expecting VPL but the seams weren’t visible in XXS (but it did show a little in XS…not sure why) The way it feels against my skin, the thickness and sturdiness of the material…I know that there won’t be any wardrobe malfunctions in this dress and it keeps you “sucked in” even if you eat a lot.
With similar bodycon dresses from Bebe or Guess, although they “fit,” the material is so stretchy and thin that it’s more challenging to find the proper undergarments since the matieral is less forgiving.
Although I can’t afford Herve Leger, at least I know it fits and I look damn good in it. lol. Maybe when I win the lotto, I’ll get this dress, but until then, these photos will be a motivating reminder.

You look fabulous! And kudos to your self-discipline, to wait to get the dress until you can afford it. I really respect that.
If you like that Herve Leger, I think you should check out French Connection’s blue colorblock ribbon dress – I have both HL and the FCUK dress and I actually prefer the FCUK one! The material is strong and sucks you in but is still comfy. http://www.zappos.com/product/7939653/color/342500
I’ve only tried FCUK a handful of times, but I’ll definitely look into their bandage ones! Thanks for the tip! =)
Love your dress
it looks amazing on you! i wish i could afford one too….haha!

This dress is beautiful on you!! It definitely fits your bod perfectly
How much is it?
Thanks! Herve Leger dresses run pretty high and this dress retails for $1250!
Max Azria also makes body con/bandage type dresses for his BCBG line. Check those out too.
I have looked into them a couple of times, but they rarely stock the smaller sizes lol. Hopefully I can review them too. =)
I thought the Tess Jacquard Herve Leger looked stellar on you. The dress looked the price tag and gave you the appearance of a huge celebrity walking down the red carpet. On the other hand, this blue one look like another forever21 dress (doesn’t look the price or quality of which a Herve Leger should provide)…
It’s unfortunate that the two dresses appear this way to me because while you felt the other one was uncomfortable, you say this one feels great on you. The correlation tends to be (for me at least) that the best-fitting and feeling one is also the best looking one.
Thank you! I do agree, the pattern and the print of the first HL dress makes it more “worth” it since it’s more unique and different. This one is more subtle, but I think the way it fits separates it from an F21 dress. I tend to go for understated dresses, which probably explains the difference…but both dresses are quite spectacular in person even if the photos don’t do them justice. =)
Although I think the first Herve Leger dress looked gorgeous on you, I get the impression that this one suits your personality better.
One word…”Hotness!!”
