I stumbled upon your blog today because I was trying to decide if I should order a maxi dress or if it would make me look too schlumpy (I'm 5'3). I love your website and I love that you are as dedicated to streamlining and organizing your closet space as I am. Great tips. I also limit my number of hangers to 100 (it's either 75 or 100; not sure). I can't recommend tossing everything you have for Joyce Mangano huggable hangers (Target, Container Store; about $1/hanger). Reasons: (1) nothing slips off (yay!); (2) when all hangers look the same, the whole closet looks better (yay!); (3) the pants/skirts clips are removable, so you can adjust the number of hangers dedicated to the bottom half of your wardrobe (very cool). I look in my husband's closet with his mish-mash of plastic and wire hangers and start to understand Joan Crawford in Mommy Dearest (OK, that's extreme, but still).
